Welcome to the Descent Database

Hello and thanks for visiting the Descent Database! The site has officially launched but we're still in need of lots of content to fill up all the categories you see above.

Once there's enough content in a certain category, we'll subdivide and categorize again with more menu options so that finding great aids and optional rules for Descent: Journeys in the Dark, Descent: Road to Legend and all the other great expansions will be a snap.

Click on the register link below the login form to get started. Once you're registered and logged in, you should see an Article Submission link that will allow you to submit articles and files.

Scatter

When an attack with Scatter does not miss, the attacker may choose one figure that was not affected by the attack but was adjacent to an affected space. That figure suffers 1 wound (ignoring armor) per rank of Scatter.

Resilience

When rolling to remove effect tokens that would normally be removed on a surge (Burn, Daze, Freeze, and Web), a figure with Resilience removes one token for each power enhancement rolled, instead.

Regenerate

A figure with regeneration heals 1 wound per rank at the start of its activation (as in Road to Legend).

Penetrate

Creatures with the Penetrate ability have attacks which can ignore some line-of-sight obstacles. When tracing line-of-sight for an attack with Penetrate, you may ignore 1 figure per rank that would otherwise block your line-of-sight. Each figure ignored in this way is affected by the attack as if they occupied the target space.

Impenetrable

Figures with Impenetrable block line-of-sight as if they were rubble obstacles. This means that monsters can be spawned behind them, they shield other figures from Blast attacks, and line-of-sight cannot be traced through them using the Penetrate ability.

Heat-Immune

A creature with the Heat-Immune ability is unaffected by Burn tokens and can move through lava obstacles with no penalties and ignores any damage from those obstacles.

Abbreviations Used

For the Descent Dice, the following abbreviations are used:

R = Red Die, U = Blue Die, W = White Die, Y = Yellow Die, G = Green Die, B = Black Die

Road to Legend Dice

S = Silver Die, O = Gold Die

When a Descent Expansion is abbreviated, the following abbreviations are used:

Altar of Despair = AoD
Well of Darkness = WoD
Road to Legend = RtL
Tomb of Ice = ToI
Sea of Blood = SoB
